Have a plan- an idea of the text content, buttons needed, colors favored, what you like and dislike.
Perhaps find a website to like and show the address so we know where to begin.
If you want a certain font, or know you want to use a certain size photo, let us know so we can
match the colors or leave adequate room in the design.

Know what you want before we begin. A lot of time can be spent on changes. What may seem an easy change can involve changing the underlying grid structure that holds the page together, or one function may not work with another function. Web is all about compromises!
We’re happy to discuss these with you beforehand, and define unfamiliar terms and choices.

Use a template or static HTML. Functions and animations are likelier to cause complications. Keep it simple.

Don’t major in the minors. Changing a color repeatedly ads up. Usually it is not only (for example) the text, but images, borders, forms, may have been made to match, so the one change may create a lot of work finding and fixing the wrong shades.

every computer is different. Colors will display differently depending on whether it is a Mac or PC, or what type of grpahic card you have, how old your monitor is, etc. Similarly, not all computers have the same fonts installed. " web safe colors" and " web safe fonts" are those that will be found on most any computer, and will therefore display consistently. This can limit the colors or font types used in a website. Others CAN be used, but results are more unpredictable, and may require additional "tricks" to use. |
